🌺 Aerial yoga is great for building up core strength, deep stretching, detoxing (both on physical and energetic levels - we can do deep meridian work here), and simply fun. 🤸🏽‍♀️

🌺 Inversions are more accessible with aerial yoga, also for people with sensitive wrists and necks.

🌺 You may experience you can enter postures you usually can’t in regular yoga (yet) - due to the support of the silk and lower impact on your body.

😢 This is so dear to my heart.

𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽.

These are Teteu Pak Jerimanai and Teteu Pak Puiva. Their tribe is a very nature connected tribe, living in the remote islands of Mentawai, that many of you know as paradise for surfing.

Due to being so remote, rainforests as well as their tribe have been relatively well preserved.

Now, there are plans to chop down 20000 hectares of rainforest - which is a 3rd of the island of Sipora (famous for its waves HTs / Lances). Until now, there hasn’t been palm oil production on Mentawai, so if this project gets through there may be more to follow, which would mean the beautiful and nature connected tribal culture will be eradicated.

The Mentawai tribes people are very mindful & caring of their environment - for every plant they harvest, they plant a new one somewhere else (speaking about wild plants here!). They depend on the rainforest for food & medicine, it’s their natural living habitat, and they hold wisdom and knowledge about nature, plant medicine & life that a lot of us can learn from. 🙏🏽
